WoW – Patch 3.3.

It`s official, the new patch will go live tomorrow. After being bored for ages I finally have a reason to log into World of Warcraft. Obviously the most interesting part of the patch is Icecrown Citadel. Finally we will be able to enter Arthas` domain, fight his minion, wreck havoc and in the end, pwn him. I have some issues with killing the Lich King. Imagine how cool and unbalanced it would be if one player in the raid could get Ner’zhul’s helm, equip it and become the next Lich King.

We will have access to three 5 man dungeons called Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and Halls of Reflection. We will follow either Jaina Proudmoore or Sylvanas Windrunner through these places, trying to infiltrate Lich King`s Citadel. Also, the much anticipated 10man and 25man instance Icecrown Citadel, containing 12 bosses ready to get their asses kicked.

I can`t wait to get into the Lick King`s lair since the lair of another bad guy is my favorite instance. I`m talking about the Black Temple, home of Illidan Stormrage, in my opinion one of the best designed instances in game.I like the whole idea of sneaking in from the sewers then making your way up on the top where you finally meet Illidan after a nice speech.

Icecrown Citadel will have three wings, each with their own theme, one will host Sindragosa, the dragon we all know from the quests, another wing will be inhabited by sick and twisted creations produced by the Scourge and the third will put us against the blood elves of San’layn. We didn`t have much to do in game with the San’layn but you might remember Prince Tenris Mirkblood from Karazhan which we killed the for bat pet and guitar arcanite ripper. Well he`s long dead (obviously) but we`ll fight his mates and their blood queen. After defeating the three wings, Naxxramas-like, we`ll have access to the Lich King himself who has been polishing his sword, Frostmourne, all this time, waiting for us.

All this killing has to be rewarded somehow so we`ll get Tier10. For loot see MMO-Champion.

Other changes:

• Cross-realm LFG. In-real Looking for Raid /LFR.
• An even easier quest interface. Bleah. Why don`t they just put huge red arrows on the mobs we need to kill for a certain quest? Please don`t dumb it down so much.
• Some positive changes for taunt diminishing returns, good for tanks.
• Oculus has been heavily nerfed. I still hate that place and I`m glad I have the red proto drake because I`m not setting foot in that hell-hole.
• Kalu’ak Fishing Derby, every Saturday from 2 PM, like the fishing event in Booty Bay.
• Weekly raid quests for killing the last boss in: The Obsidian Sanctum, Naxxramas, The Eye of Eternity, Ulduar, Trial of the Crusader or Icecrown Citadel.
• Reputation for the Northrend factions have been increased by about 30%.
• Ashen Verdict, new faction for Icecrown Citadel. Need to get that exalted too, I`m getting close to 40 exalted reputations.
