As of today the Fire Festival has begun in World of Warcraft. I did most of it last year so I had to pick up from where I left it. The meta achievement is composed of:
- Extinguish the Horde flames in Kalimdor, Eastern Continents and Outlands for the meta-in-meta Desecration of the Horde and honor the Alliance flames in the same places for the meta-in-meta The Fires of Azeroth. This is pretty straightforward, you`ll end up with XP, gold and Blossoms.
- Ice the Forst Lord – Go to Slave Pens heroic, kill Ahune. I did it with a paladin healer and it took us some time because we didn`t bother to clear all the naga adds and we ended up pulling a lot of them while Ahune was throwing us around. The fight is easy, especially for a lvl 80.
- King of the Fire Festival – Go and steal the flames from the Horde capitals. You`ll receive the Fire Festival Crown (looks like a halo) on completing. Easy for me, I stealthed in and did my job.
- Torch Juggler – You need about 25 torches. I got them by doing the daily quests with my alts and mailed the torches to my druid. Hotkey the torches on 1, when you press 1 you`ll see a green aoe circle on the ground, position it on you and start spamming 1-left click-1left click and so on. You can be nice and put the torches in gbank after you used them so others can do the achievement without bothering to get the torches.
- Burning Hot Pole Dance – Dance around the pole dressed in the full Midsummer set. This is a little problematic for me. Why? The full set must be bought for Blossoms, you get Blossoms for desecrating/honoring. I already desecrated and honored everything, except the new Northrend fires, which are listed with co-ords after the jump. Click.

These flames give you 5 blossoms (if you honor) and 10 if you desecrate. So in total Northrend gives you 120 Blossoms and some gold. In order to get the full outfit you need:
- Mantle of the Fire festival – 100 Blossoms
- Vestment of Summer – 100 Blossoms
- Sandals of Summer – 200 blossoms
Not needed for achievement, but still fun to get:
- Captured Flame (vanity pet) – 350 blossoms
- Brazier of Dancing Flames – 350 blossoms
As you see, you`ll need a LOT of Blossoms. I have the Vestment of Summer and I need the mantle and the sandals (300 blossoms). I did the dailies today and did the Northrend fires but I still need some blossoms, so I have to do the stupid dailies since I can`t visit and do the other flames I mentioned above because I did them last year.

Edit1. Stole the flame of Undercity, it works, even if I did that last year. 25 more blossoms.
Edit2. Silvermoon flame says I already completed the quest. Hmm, why does Undercity work then?
Edit3. Orgimmar flame works.
Some hordies killed me in Orgrimmar, I noticed this funny thing when I ran back to my corpse.
DON`T VISIT THE SITE. I didn`t visit it, it could be just a gold selling site or it could be worse. Beware of hackers.
Edit4. Stole Thunderbluff flame, took the quest, cannot turn in because of “duplicate object detected’. Weird. This event is still bugged and nasty, I hope Blizzard does something to fix it fast. Nah, it works. I had 20 Handful of Summer Petals (quest reward) and you can only carry 20. Choose another reward and this will work. The flame from Silvermoon still doesn`t start the quest.

Edit6. A blue post on Blizz forums recognizing the bugs. They will be fixed so we can all get our full set. Syndri writes:

While the Midsummer Fire Festival event has begun, we wanted to take some time to explain that there are some currently known issues with the Festival, and to let the community know that we are working on resolving them.
The first issue, and what seems to be the most prevalent reported issue, is regarding gaining Fire Blossoms from fire quests that were completed last year. This affects the Honor the Fires and Desecrate the Fires quests, as they appear to have not reset from last year. We understand the concerns many players have about being able to obtain enough blossoms for this year to buy what they wish, and we are actively working on the issue.
Second, there have been many reports that the quest “Unusual Activity” has not reset from last year. This is being investigated by development.
In addition, we have had many players report that Crown of the Fire Festival from last year is not granting achievement credit for King of the Fire Festival. This appears to be a result of the quest not having been completed while the achievement system was live (as last Midsummer was before the achievement system was implemented). If it were to grant retroactive achievement for King of the Fire Festival, it would have been granted upon launch of the achievement system.
While we do apologize for any frustration, we want to actively assure the community that we are working on resolving these issues, and any others that may appear. We will update this post with information as we get it.”
Edit7. The flames are reset! You can do them all over again.

I have the same problem with Exodar, I can steal the fire from the old world cities and complete the quest even though I already did it last year; But not Exodar.
at the moment I’m just short the total number of blossoms I wants. 25 to be exact, so it was very frustrating not to be able to do exodar
yes, i read some hordies on the forums have the same problem with that alliance city. if you only need 25 to get the whole set in order to dance around the pole from the achievement don`t worry, you`ll get them in 3 days of doing the 2 daily quests. i need more than 25, about 50 but the festival goes on for another 2 weeks, which is good.
i hope blizz does something to fix these errors so we can complete the meta and be closer to the protodrake!
the duplicate message thing means you should choose another reward, can only have 10 of each of the food or petal or whatever.

Sa vezi chestie- am coroana aia de acum 2 ani, si nu mi-a bifat achievementul… trebuie sa ma duc din nou. Ma rog, cu rogue nu e greu, dar meh..
Iar ieri m-a dec. RDSul nu stiu dc, si n-am mai putut juca, era asa de fain (comparat cu plictiseala din Ulduar)
nu ti`a bifat a thief`s reward? incearca sa mergi din nou in capitale, de curiozitate incepe cu silvermoon (pe un personaj pe care ai mers si anul trecut) si zi`mi daca merge sa repeti questul cu flame.
Da, da, da, nu stiam ca avem si in Northrend, ty pt info, good, good, ca mai voiam niste blossom-uri

Ieri m-am apucat de festival si e aproape completed. Mai tra` sa sting 6 flacari in Kalimdor si gata. La inceput mi s-a parut naspa eventul, dar cand am inceput sa mergem pe la hoarde a inceput fun-ul. In Ogrimar stateau ciorchine sa ne astepte, ca de altfel in IF noi. Am luat eu prima focul si am facut diversiune pentru ceilalti

Achiv pt aruncatul tortelor mi-a placut iar, circareasa trebuia sa ma fac
In schimb nu pot sa completez un daily. Cel cu fugitul dupa torte. Probabil e din cauza calculatorului. Daca las pe low, nu vad umbra tortei. Daca dau setari pe high, imi sacadeaza de ma rupe. Hm. Probabil voi renunta la blossom-urile aferente q.
Dar ma salveaza postul tau, cu cele din Northrend. Ty again
incearca sa faci daily`ul cu tortele intr`un oras pustiu, gen exodar. fiind mai putina lume pe acolo, zona nu se va sacada asa, ai sanse mari sa fii numai tu cea care fugi dupa torte. oricum focurile se vor reseta si le vei putea revizita pentru blossoms, asa ca nu`ti fa griji daca PC`ul tau chiar nu poate rezista.

Cat timp zburam cu cioara prin old teritory am facut curat
Cat despre blossomuri, nu mai imi fac griji. Datorita postului tau, o sa am destule sa imi cumpar petul. Ca altfel, probabil ca nu le-as fi vazut, facand Loremaster, nu ma plimb prin Northrend decat pe la turnament.
A propos, mai 200 q mai am, va tin la curent cu ravnitul meu titlu ))
200 nu mai e chiar asa de mult. eu la loremaster am mai ratat questuri, m`am folosit de wowhead, am listat questurile pe zone, pe diverse criterii (in special cele care incep de la un quest item dropped de mobs) si am parcurs sa verific ce am facut si ce nu.
Vai vai vai, era totul atat de simplu daca nu pierdeam un q. Nu stiu ce-am facut cu el, l-a mancat pisica.

Da, Fallen Hero, uitasem cum ii zice. Poate nu duce in MC, dar da ceva rep cu Hydraxian daca nu ma insel. Aszhara o fi ea de cacat, dar e cam ultima sansa daca nu vreau sa fac Dire Maul (pe care n-o cunosc si ma pierd tot timpul in ea, deci imi trebe boost:P) Ar mai fi q din Silitius de summon si reversul rep la centauri. Altceva nu mai imi vine in cap, decat alergatul prin teritorii, ceea ce ma ingrozeste. AQ e done, nu mai am sanse de q de acolo.
Incerc totusi sa fac Estern cu Kalimdor simultan, pt ca sunt multe chainuri intercontinentale. Linkul tau probabil ma va ajuta peste 150 q, cand voi ramane la limita. Deocamdata nu ma panichez, doar ca nu stiu de unde sa reincep the Fallen Hero. Mi-as dori un teritoriu inca neinceput sa apara din neant:) Ty pt link
pai de la fallen hero, la granita dintre blasted si swamp. si eu l`am abandonat si tot de la el l`am luat. nu stiu exact in ce stadiu esti, daca ai facut partea cand tre sa omori mobii aia in blasted langa cristale; daca nu, vezi in ashzara in templul din nord, poate gigantul are continuarea (dc ai facut pana acolo).
Pai am abandonat exact q de Blasted Lands, pe care sigur il luam din Keep. Si dupa abandon, nu mai pot sa-l iau. Am trecut pe langa Fallen Hero si nici acolo nimic. Kind of m-am blocat. Incerc sa reiau ultimii qgiveri. Alte idei?
numai dc te uiti pe chain la thottbot sa vezi pasii si sa`ti aduci aminte pe unde l`ai lasat.
Evenimentele Blizzard sunt ca e de obicei, fucked up. Unul din motivele pentru care nu ma deranjez sa le bag in seama.

Lantul “Fallen Hero of the Horde” sau cum se numeste a fost printre favoritele mele. Sunt f multe questuri, trebuie sa creezi o sabie cu numele demonului, si numai cu aia ii poti slabi acolitii. Ajung la 1% si nu ii poti omori fara aia. Sabia are 32 dps…
dar efectul conteaza. Ma rog, in functie de clasa cred ca iti poti face dagger sau nu stiu ce.
Eu l-am terminat si recomand sa il faceti pana la capat, e super. Nu va zic cum se termina, dar merita facut.
Legat de festival, sunt deja Flame Warden cu Sephala, a trebuit sa fur flacarile din nou, si asa am strans destule floricele pt sandale, singura chestie care imi lipsea. Restul am din anii trecuti. Imi pare rau ca au pus Spiritul la vanzare, eu il am de acum 2 ani, si era f greu de obtinut, trebuia sa mergi in Dire Maul, Stratholme, LBRS si Scholo parca, si sa iei flacarile de acolo.
Ce imi doresc tare mult e Scorchling-ul.
@galex, nu inteleg de ce mai joci WoW… Midsummer e poate cel mai fain festival, poate chiar mai fain decat Lunar. Nu inteleg cum te afecteaza bugul cu focurile pt ca tu oricum nu le-ai facut anul trecut. Iti recomand sa joci Nu te supara frate, varianta fantasy.
l`am vizitat si eu pe ahune ieri si alaltaieri, in speranta ca poate pica scorchlingul. da, mai bine lasa spiritul ca si cadou, ca asa eu cu druidul nu mai am ce vizita (am fost anul trecut) si o sa mi se acreasca sa ma duc iarasi la flacari si sa tin blossoms. azi se va da un reset asa ca probabil le voi vizita din nou pe toate, ce naiba!
eu tin minte ca la questul cu demonul sabia o primeai la final, cu aia omorai demonul in sine, acolitii erau la inceput, trebuia sa omori 4 tipuri de acoliti si la un procent sa distrugi piatra si apoi pe ei.
eu nici nu ma mai intreb de ce gaelex mai joaca wow, asa e el, gica contra.

@ Galex: Chiar asa, vorba lui Sirg…de ce mai joci? Eu joc wow pentru ca ma bucur de fiecare nimic din joc, ma supar cand nu-mi reuseste ceva, mi-am facut prieteni cu care imi place sa fac raiduri, am tot felul de trairi in game. Daca nu mi-ar placea, as renunta direct. Cum sa injur locul in care imi petrec jumate de viata?
Ca sa incepi acel chain trebuie sa faci alt chain, dar nu mai stiu care. Daca nu ma insel este un blood elf in turnul din Nethergarde care te trimite la Fallen Hero.
Dar Maddy, aia cu pietrele sunt la inceput, daca nu ma insel le zice servants. Apoi trebuie sa omori niste elites, pt care iti trebuie sabia aia magica, apoi nu mai stiu ce urmeaza si in final ajungi sa te confrunti cu Razelik sau cum il cheama. Succes Laly, e un quest fain.
Ieri am terminat festivalul si cu gnomul, mai aveam 3-4 focuri de vizitat de anul trecut si Ahune. Sunt destul de incantat pt ca daca nu mai introduc ceva festivaluri pana la Brewfest pt Violet Proto-drake, voi avea acest mount pe ambele personaje, ceea ce nu e putin, zic eu

am vrut sa zic sa selectezi “show low lvl quests” dar m`am gandit ca e prea evident si ca ar trebui sa`l ai din start selectat, din moment ce faci loremaster si iti trebuie low level quests
