I chose this map to start my adventure in Northrend because…well because I took the boat from Menethil and that`s where it took me. I`m glad I started with this map. I like the bloodthirsty vikings, the large forest, the pirates. The maps in Northrend sure are huge compared to Outlands, both in width and in depth, you go in all sorts of caves, temples, crypts, hollows, etc.
Utgarde Keep is nice and easy. I also did the Nexus (nice music in there, Trance-like) and both spider instances. The feeling of large spaces is in there too, especially in Ahn’Kahet the Old Kingdom. Azjol’Nerb is very short and fast.
I met the Tuskarrs too, I plan on getting exalted with them for the penguin vanity pet. Despite the fact that a LOT of people were trying to kill the same mobs for the same quests, the respawn is fats. Two areas sucked, Ember Cluth (took me ages to put my claws on the little Proto Drakes) and Gjalerbron (the 2 Putrid big guys for the quests resawned in 100 years and the area was farmed by a lot of players). Apart from that, no complains. The quests in Skorn are nice too (cutting corpses in pieces) and the quests involving shit are back (Scare the Guano out of Them) – collecting bat poo. Seems that someone at Blizzard was really affected by 2 Girls 1 Cup LOL.
Best NPC on this map: McGoyver <Pro>. Need I say more?
The map has plenty flight points and quest hubs, make sure you don`t miss any quest. I completed the “I toured the Fjord” achievement (130 quests) but I estimate there are about 140 quests in the area so it`s unlikely you`ll have problems completing the achievement.
Level: 72. Next map, Dragonblight!

la lvl 77 dupa ce platesti 1000 gold poti zbura in northrend. pana atunci doar pe mount terestru.

dar nu stiu cum ai avut timp/rabdare sa faci toate questurile intr-o zona, pt ca eu am vrut sa explorez cat mai mult. Am facut questuri in ambele peninsule, si 3 instante – Utgarde, Nexus si Azjol Nerub. Acum sunt level 71 si mai am jumate plus o eternitate pana la level 72.
M-a impresionat orasul Dalaran. E cel mai frumos loc din tot WoW, super detaliat, cu tot felul de personaje haioase sau misterioase, ce mai e grozav. Dupa ce am ajuns in Dalaran am apucat sa realizez cate chestii sunt de facut, de exemplu obiectele bind on account pt alts si multe altele
da, mi s`a parut super faza cu harponul.
pai eu de obicei o iau sistematic si fac tot de pe o harta, asa am facut si in Outlands, toate quests cu 2 personaje.
Dalaran e super fain, m`am plimbat prin fiecare coltisor si cred ca voi pregati un articol cu chestii faine din oras
la momentul scrierii mai am 3 bare jumate pana la 73.

Eu am Onyx Netherdrake si tare astept sa zbor cu el prin Northrend. Totusi am vazut un mount epic care mi-a amintit de prima mea dragoste zburatoare- snowy gryphon. Acum pot cumpara un Armored Snowy Gryphon din Dalaran. Hmm… din pacate dragonul e mai epic
Dammit, aseara vorbeau doi din ghilda despre Dalaran (de la fata locului) si eu omoram chestii in Nagrand… Sunt in dileme existentiale in legatura cu ce personaj vreau sa leveluiesc primul, in concluzie nici unul nu fac nimic semnificativ in Northrend. Cu warrioara am jucat un nivel si ceva in Tundra si acum mai intru pe ea sa tankez instante/questuri de grup, iar maga se taraste incet-incet spre 68… Pacat ca n-am ajuns in Dalaran cand inca erau doar magi acolo
Fun fact: cica e un turn inalt undeva acolo. Asa ca un mag de la noi a sarit de pe el, a pus slow fall si i-a zis GL-ul ca e un buff special in Dalaran care te face sa nu mori daca pici. GL a sarit si, evident, s-a facut terci. Pacat ca n-am fost acolo sa vad
Nu ziceam eu aseara (de o vreme sunt in ghilda cu Jen, btw) ca am devenit dependent de Dalaran, atata e de fain. Si ce imi place la el e ca are si o parte “spooky” daca intri in canalizare, unde e piata neagra, arena si alte chestii.
Eu nu stiam de nici un buff din ala… sigur a fost o gluma. Intr-adevar, daca urci in turnul acela ai o priveliste superba asupra intregului oras, si Crystalsong Forest. Cred ca o sa incerc sa sar cu magul, odata ce ajunge si el acolo.
Pt amatorii de parasutism, este o conducta de scurgere care coboara mult si ajungi la un punct de unde poti sari in Crystalsong…
@Jen, eu zic sa te concentrezi pe un personaj, mai bine pe main, pt ca e f greu sa joci 2 personaje alternativ.
