WoW – Patch 2.4.2 25 aprilie, 2008

A new small patch is upon us. It`s already on the test server and I would like to comment some changes. To see lists of all the changes check here:

So, what is 2.4.2. bringing new? Let`s see.
- Removed the cooldown from Void Shatter – This was pretty predictable, like the Nexus Transformation, that started with a cooldown then they removed the cooldown. This is a normal thing, to avoid the inflation of the economy. Useful thing because guild bank probably gathered tons of Void Crystals and most enchants needs Large Prismatic Shards.
- Vexallus and Kael’thas areno longer immune to taunt on Normal difficulty. – Good change, it`s annoying when someone pulls aggro and you can`t even taunt in Normal difficulty. I understand the “Immune to taunt” thing in 25 man raids and on heroic, but on Normal it was just silly.
- The dragons in Blade’s Edge Mountains will no longer instantly knock you off your mount. – I like this, I was knocked down so many times for flying too high.
- If you are sheeped / polymorphed by a mob, you will no longer gain back health (ie: the mass sheep in Aran, which regens your health before he fire blasts the raid). – This is pretty important for some raids who need every bit of healing, we never had this problem and didn`t use this in our advantage.
- Void Reaver’s Arcane orbs now generate combat log entries. – I have to admit, my guild didn`t kill Void Reaver becauseof the Arcane Orb thing, Deadly Boss Moda didn`t show the warnings correctly and we wiped silly. This will help us do Void Reaver again.
